  • Intro:

    The Department of Labour, Sarawak (JTKSWK) was established by the State Government of Sarawak. Under the Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) Report 1962, the Director of Labour Sarawak is directly responsible to Minister of Human Resource through the Secretary General on the administration of labour matters in Sarawak.

    Roles:

    The roles of the Department of Labour, Sarawak is to safeguard the interest and the welfare of the industrial community, to ensure that priority of employment opportunities is given to local citizens, to assist industries to improve their competitiveness in facing the challenges of globalization and to create an industry community that is well-versed in labour laws and labour matters towards a labour environment that is conductive for investment and industrial development.

    Application for License to Employ Non-Resident Employee (AP)

    Any employer who wishes to submit an application for AP may only do so after the requirements as stated below have been complied with:

    – The vacancy has been advertised on Sunday in the local newspaper (English and Malay Edition);

    – The vacancy has been aired on radio;

    Application to Employ Non-Resident Employee

    This application is for an employer who has been given an AP and which is still valid.

    Application to Renew License to Employ Non-Resident Employee

    Application to renew the license must be submitted by employer at least two months before the expiry of the license but no earlier than four months.

    Application for The Replacement to Employ Non-Resident Employee

    This Service is provided to employers who wish to replace their non-resident employee whose name appears in the License, but subsequently decides not to accept the employment or cannot be employed due to certain reasons. An employer who has been notified of the approval of their license, but no yet collects it from the Labour Office

    申請雇用非本地居民雇員許可證(AP)
    任何雇主若要申請雇用非本地居民許可證,必須確保下列條件已實施:
    – 該空缺已被刊登在星期天的當地報紙(英文和馬來文);
    – 該空缺已在電臺播出。

    申請雇用非本地居民雇員
    申請此程序的雇主所持有的AP必須仍然有效。

    申請更新雇用非本地居民雇員許可證
    申請更新許可證的雇主必須在許可證屆滿前至少兩個月提交,但不可早於四個月。

    申請更換雇用非本地居民雇員
    這項服務時提供給雇主要更換雇用非本地居民。但基於某些原因,後來決定不接受就業或不能就業。申請的雇主已被通知批准,但尚未從勞工局提取。
